NADRA Identity Cards
This section provides the information about NADRA services available in the Hague.
NADRA is offering two types of identity cards to facilitate the Pakistani community living abroad. These cards offer valuable benefits and incentives to the card holders. Following section will help you to choose the right Identity Card for you and follow the procedure to apply for this card.
1. National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP)
Apply for this card if you are a Pakistani citizen who is living abroad or a dual nationality holder
National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis or NICOP is to facilitate the expatriate Pakistanis. This card is an identification document usable in place of Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) or .
NICOP holders will enjoy all the benefits Pakistani computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) holders do.
Benefits of NICOP
§ Visa free entry into Pakistan (without Pakistani Passport or Visa to visit Pakistan)
§ Cast vote as a Pakistani national
§ Protection rights that all Pakistanis enjoy
§ Full recognition as a regular Pakistani citizen
§ Open bank account in Pakistan
§ Apply for Machine Readable Passport (MRP)
§ Substitute for the Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC)
§ Proof of Pakistan citizenship
§ Permission to buy and sell property
You can apply for NICOP if you are a Pakistani citizen and in one of the following categories:
a. An emigrant or employed abroad
b. A dual nationality holder.
c. Holding a resident or immigrant visa or equivalent visa / authorization, permit or status of a foreign country.
d. A resident or Intending to Reside Abroad for a period exceeding six (6) months and not included in any of the categories defined in a, b and c above. Following persons are also included in this category.
i. Dependent: Dependents of emigrants / workers employed abroad / accompanying them abroad.
ii. OPF Members: Members of OPF (Overseas Pakistanis Foundation) are also included in this category.
iii. Others: All other persons proceeding or residing abroad for business, visit or any other purpose.
