Pakistan-Netherlands hold bilateral political consultations
In their meeting on July 1st in The Hague, Mr. Pieter de Gooijer, Director General for Political Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, and mr. Mohammad Naeem Khan, Additional Foreign Secretary for Europe, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, decided to re-launch and institutionalise bilateral consultations on global, regional and bilateral issues of mutual interest.
H.E. Mr. Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Netherlands, and Mr Karel Hartogh, Director for Asia and Oceania of the Netherlands Ministry for Foreign Affairs, participated in the meeting.
Both sides emphasized that deepening the partnership between the Netherlands and Pakistan was a diplomatic priority for both countries and accorded with the fundamental interests of their peoples.
The two sides discussed in depth international and regional developments and reaffirmed their commitment to promote and maintain international peace and stability.
The next round of consultations will be held in Islamabad in 2011.
